This page is Classic Maple Wiki's summary of Samool's guide, written in our own words. The guide itself is theirs. Values here are what they report. Seen one in game? Send a screenshot.
Samool’s video is about the cheapest sure way to hit harder: a 100% attack scroll on your weapon. It cannot fail, so the mesos you spend always turn into damage1.
Where the scrolls come from
Section titled “Where the scrolls come from”Players sell attack scrolls in the Free Market, but the creator’s first stop is a vendor in Ellinia, at the top left of town, up the tree, who sells a 100% attack scroll for every weapon type2. The wiki has no entry for that vendor or those scrolls yet. If you find them, send a screenshot and we will add the shop and its stock.
100% or 60%
Section titled “100% or 60%”The creator’s reasoning3:
- A 100% scroll always works. He reports a price of about 30,000 mesos for a one-handed weapon scroll and about 60,000 for a two-handed one, at the vendor.
- A 60% scroll gives more attack when it lands, but four in ten fail, and a failed scroll is mesos gone. Early on, that risk is not worth it.
- The exception is a class few people play. Its 60% scrolls are cheap in the Free Market, so the gamble costs little.
When to start
Section titled “When to start”Do not scroll the gear you will replace next week. The creator waits until level 35 to 40, when a weapon lasts long enough for the scrolls to pay for themselves4.
Why it matters for training
Section titled “Why it matters for training”Damage has break points. If your attack moves you from three hits per monster to two, or from two to one, you kill faster, use fewer potions, and earn more mesos an hour. The creator’s point is that a scrolled weapon pays for itself through those break points, not through the number on the item5.
Capes and earrings
Section titled “Capes and earrings”The video ends with accessories. Cape and earring scrolls are cheaper than weapon scrolls. Earrings are worth a thought because every class can wear them, which keeps their trade value high, but they come after the weapon6.
What we still need
Section titled “What we still need”The wiki does not yet list the Ellinia scroll vendor, the 100% attack scrolls, or their prices. Every number above is the creator’s report. A screenshot of the vendor’s window adds all of it with your name on it.
