This page is Classic Maple Wiki's summary of ProfessorX Maple's guide, written in our own words. The guide itself is theirs. Values here are what they report. Seen one in game? Send a screenshot.

ProfessorX Maple’s video is for free-to-play players who want their first million mesos without buying anything. The plan has two halves: spend less while you train, then run three quest lines whose rewards sell well.

The video opens with four fundamentals1:

  • Take fewer hits. Potions are the biggest drain on a new character. Fight monsters you can hit without being hit back.
  • Save MP. Use plain attacks when a skill would only speed things up a little.
  • Sell equipment drops. Equipment that drops while you train can be worth more than everything else you pick up. The creator checks prices on a player-run price site, mao.watch, and points out that a drop with a bonus stat, such as extra attack, sells for more than a plain one2.
  • Buy defense. Armor with more defense means fewer potions over hundreds of fights, so it pays for itself.

The creator’s main tip is that some quests hand out scrolls and capes that players pay a lot for. The levels and chances below are what the video reports3.

Rowen the Fairy in Ellinia asks for cursed dolls, in a chain that starts with Collecting 50 Cursed Dolls and ends with Collecting 200 Cursed Dolls. The chain opens after Returned Secret Book, the sauna quest line from Mr. Wetbottom.

The creator reports that the reward is one of two glove scrolls, a 50/50 roll between a Glove for Attack 60% scroll and a Glove for Magic Attack 60% scroll, and that the attack scroll sells for far more3.

Jane in Lith Harbor gives a line that starts with Jane and the Mushroom and runs through Jane’s First Challenge, Jane’s Second Challenge, and Jane’s Final Challenge.

The creator reports a one in four chance at one of four glove scrolls at the end, with prices from modest to high depending on which one lands4.

Icarus in Kerning City has a line that runs Icarus’s Hang Glider and Icarus and the Balloon.

The creator reports that it ends with one of three Icarus capes, each of which sells for a good sum5.

  • Train where the drops sell. Pick maps whose monsters drop equipment people want, so a training session pays twice: EXP and items to sell6.
  • Park mesos in cash items. Once the mesos pile up, the creator holds some value in cash shop items, which he expects to keep their worth. That is his view, not advice from this wiki7.

The wiki’s quest pages do not yet record these rewards, their chances, or the level each quest needs. The numbers above are the creator’s report. If you finish one of these quests, send a screenshot of the reward and we will add it with your name.
